Hey you little craft beer nerds!

You wanted it and now it's back. We'll be returning on what we're calling Season 2 of our podcast show and this time around, we're joining forces with none other than Indy Craft Brew!

The Indy Craft Brew team along with the OHHAP crew will sit down to record a bi weekly series of podcasts to sample some of the best craft beers in Indiana as well as others from all over the world. Don't miss this wild podcast show.

Our first stop on this craft beer train will be at Cedar Creek Brewing Co in Martinsville Indiana to sample their Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout coming in at 20% ABV. Wow!!

20% Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout

Release Date: December 21

We saved something big for the end of the year... On the darkest day of the year, we will be releasing our 20% Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout! Huge flavor notes of chocolate and coffee with a sweet bourbon accent and an incredibly smooth and full body makes this a truly unique beer that completely hides the formidable alcohol content!

As well as being on draft, we will be offering special pricing on howler and growler fills of this beer for the release weekend:
32oz Howler - $20 (Includes the Howler)
64oz Growler - $35 (Includes the Growler)

In addition to the regular variety, we will have a few limited kegs of the following variants on tap:
- Coconut Bourbon Barrel Aged 20% RIS
- Vanilla Bean Bourbon Barrel Aged 20% RIS

Due to the alcohol content, draft pours will be limited by person as this beer sneaks up on you far too easily!

We're excited to share this with everyone and look forward to releasing it finally!

Whitestown Brew Fest 2018

Kelsy and I along with Pete from TheSpeak Podcast traveled out at Whitetowns Beer fest! This premium event will featured 25 Indiana breweries and expected to showcase hundreds of craft beer releases—making it one of the largest and most unique craft beer festivals in the central part of the state of Indiana. The event played host to a one-of-a-kind Indiana home brewer competition with an opportunity for attendees to sample pours and cast a vote for their favorite. This year's event anticipated over 30 home brewers who will prequalify for a chance to serve and compete. Congrats to Nick Boling from Circle City Zymurgy on winning 1st place! We have to give a shoutout to Indiana on Tap as well for hosting!

Episode 20 - Brewdog Punk AGM USA 2018

Hey beer nerds! On this episode, we attended Brewdogs annual Equity party called Punk AGM USA 2018!

There, Kevin walked around and spoke to some of the folks enjoying Brewdog beers as well as speaking with different breweries and the sour master himself, Richard Kilcullen!

We also would like to announce that this will be our last podcast episode as we move onward to produce our vlogs that can be found on YouTube coming soon! Our channel will be devoted on craft beer as well.

Episode 19 Failed to Launch!

Hey Beer Nerds!

You may be wondering what happened to Episode 19 of our podcast. We want to be as truthful and transparent to you as possible.....it wasn't that good! So we are deleting it from our archives.

The brewery servers, the guests and all of the shenanigans were great, however the audio didn't turn out to where we as a podcast show would like. It was very hard on the ears!

This is because we didn't test the field mic out beforehand and we didn't use headphones to listen how it sounded as it was happening. Moving forward, we will have our headphones on and this will eliminate the need to yell on the mic.

You may have noticed this on our previous episode as well where it got a bit distorted and loud. Again, we didn't have our cans on!

So there you have it, a lesson learned. Until next time!

Episode 18 - Don't Let Me Down

On this episode, we made our way to the gorgeous mountains of North Carolina, and landed in Asheville, one of the best brewery towns! There are many excellent breweries and it's hard to hit them all in one day, but we did our best and managed to load up some friends and head out on an adventure of Speed Pints! We found ourselves at the beautiful Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. first, followed by One World Brewery, Green Man Brewery, and Burial Beer Co. While there, we each chose a different pint (or flight) and shared our thoughts on the beer.

Ay, we couldn't end our day without travelling down to Spartanburg, South Carolina to enjoy some of the best southern fried food at Ike's Korner Grill. We aren't a food podcast by any means, but, you don't want to miss our new friend that joined us for drunken conversations over some (super thick) fried bologna, and $2 domestics...(don't tell on us).

Episode 17 - York Chester Brewing Company

On this episode, we travel down to Forest City, North Carolina where we met up with Chris McCracken of York Chester Brewing Company to speak with him about the tap takeover beers that he had over at the Twisted Pear.

Belmont, North Carolina.

York Chester Brewing Company was founded in 2014 by Jarvis and Julia Roberts. YCBC, for short, was named for the beautiful York Chester Historic District in which the Roberts reside.



YCBC opened in Belmont, NC in October 2016, in the Riverside Complex which was formerly the Spectrum Dye Mill, located on the banks of the Catawba River.
YCBC is a diamond in the rough located towards the back of the industrial complex. Our small taproom provides an intimate environment in which strangers can quickly become friends through conversation or a shared board game. We have a TV for watching sports or movie night. Outside there are picnic tables provided for seating as well as a fire pit to help keep you warm!
We welcome dogs to the outdoor seating area of our brewery and have treats on hand to help them feel right at home! Children are also welcome! You may also bring your own food in to eat.

Episode 16 - Burnt Chimney Brewing Company

On our first ever out of state podcast, we traveled to Forest City, North Carolina where we were able to sit down and have a chat with Burnt Chimney Brewing Company head brewer, Ben Frankoski, his wife (head of quality control), Jamie Frankoski, and the man responsible for the label graphics, Chad Gordon.

Join us as we taste some delicious Burnt Chimney brews while learning how Ben got started in home brewing. We also discuss the thoughts behind the label graphics, and learn about what we have to look forward to in the future when Burnt Chimney Brewing Company becomes a destination location in Forest City, North Carolina. We certainly can't wait until our next visit so we can (fingers crossed) visit their brewery and enjoy some of these craft beers on tap!

Episode 13 - Beer Tasting at Moontown Brewing Company

On this episode of 'Out Here Having a Pint', we drove out to Moontown Brewing Company in Whitestown Indiana. There we met up with Jeremiah Tyson and Trey Strukel of Circle City Zymurgy which is a very known home-brew club in Indiana.

Our mission was to sit down with a flight and give Moontown a go to see if we would have a pint of their beers or if we would pass. By no means were either one of us a BJCP judge, so take our opinions with a grain of salt. With that said, together we were in company with experienced brewers for sure!.
